    The morning follows the Todra gorges and their sheer rock faces, then the palm groves of Jorf and the town of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops. At Merzouga the vehicle stays behind: camels carry you into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset. The night is spent at a Berber camp, around dinner and music, under open sky.
